The Bonnaroo Fountain Painters' Music Video
It's amazing how many multi-talented people are involved in putting Bonnaroo together. It turns out the fountain painters are also talented musicians. Here's a song written and sung by Candace Randolph with George "the human ladder" Finney on congas. The fountain crew is led by Phil Carroll, also a talented singer/songwriter.

Bonnaroo Visual Design Doc - June 5 clips Jerry Harner/neon
Local (Manchester, Tennessee) neon sign artist Jerry Harner and his son Pat show me how Bonnaroo's neon signs get made. Three generations of the Harner family are in the neon or tube bending (as they call it) business. Fantastic people....got a great taco dinner at their place too. Thanks Jerry.

June 2 - Bonnaroo Visual Design - Unedited
These are clips from my first day of shooting at Bonnaroo. The guy with the long white hair and beard is Russ Bennett the director of visual design at Bonnaroo. Russ has been doing this since Bonnaroo started eight years ago. The other guy with the dark hair and beard is Steve Sayers (full-time carpenter -- many years/shows). He was introduced to me by Russ as "God". Apparently his building skills are remarkable and they can communicate without words. The woman is Anne Marie Flusche (assistant to Russ -- her 3rd Bonnaroo), organizer extraordinaire. She seems to be the brains that keeps this whole thing together and moving forward.
I shot for three hours in the blazing Tennessee heat (I'm from Vermont) and quickly became dehydrated, got a pounding headache and had to shut down for the rest of the day.

Intro Message - Bonnaroo Visual Design Doc
I'm making a documentary about the visual design team at Bonnaroo 2009. I'll be posting raw and unedited footage so people can see what I'm doing and what it's like here. I'd love your comments, ideas and feedback. I'm incredibly busy. I'm shooting this on my own with a couple of volunteers who'll be showing up soon.
